bulkhead in Cayenne

Can't say I have....... washed quite often with snow foam stuff and pressure washer and have not seen any water or dampness inside.

Where abouts are you getting the water?

The dealer said from the bulkhead but the passenger side carpets are absolutely sodden both front and back

Oh - I know this one. I have personal experience of this....

The symptom is soaking wet mats front (passenger) and to a lessor extent in the back. The reason is that the drains are blocked. For me it was that I got the car after it had spent a spell in the showroom (1-2 months) and the drain exit seals had sealed shut. With all that rain last summer I was soon watching the passenger footwell fill up.

The resolution for me was to get it to the dealer and get them the unblock to seals and empty out the other areas that the water builds up in - (inner wheel arch areas). It cost me about £80 but I had no clue what it was. It is resolved and has not returned.

Good luck with this.

Mine lives outside in the UK .. 2 1/2 years old, 30K miles or so on it .. still bone dry inside. Unlike Macgill I have no leaks, no internal condensation

Sounds like Gopher has an answer and sadly Macgill has an unlucky car

Still thinking about the Q7

Just a thought, but where is the Q7 made?
Cayenne and Tuareg are both made in Bratislava. The Cayenne comes in to Leipzig pretty much assembled and trimed. Porsche then "marry" the drivetrain and body together (about a dozen fixings) and add any personalisation options (alu trim etc) and that's about it. As the Audi is based on the same platform I wonder if it too is mostly assembled at the VW facility in Bratislava?
