Bumper removal

Possibly a daft question but im having trouble removing the front bumper on my S2, ive followed the guide on clarkes but im still lost, ive removed the black front splitter bit under the bumper and removed 3 bolts attatching it to each wing plus 2 underneath which is all clarkes mentions. The bumper still feels well attatched in the middle area, near the light cluster (which ive removed) on each side and certainly doesnt want to "slide off". Anyone point me to what ive missed?

EDIT: 3 bolts from each wing [:)]

There are 3 bolts on each side attaching the bumper to each wing. You might have forgotten some ?

woops, sorry, ive removed 3: 1 10ml and 2 8ml from each wing. Im sure its something simple, but sitting there looking at it isnt helping anymore [:(] ive tried pulling at it and it feels well attatched in the middle somewhere, just cant figure out where - theres a bit of cowling (?) in the way, thats the next on the list of things to come off i guess.

EDIT: Couldnt be something to do with the nose panel could it?

Seems to me then you have forgotten the two screws attaching the bumper to the U-shaped black plastic duct that sort of "surrounds" the AC condenser.

yeah got those 2, one on each side about level with the edges of the license plate. Thats the plastic duct thats in the way so i can't see the back of the bumper :p I don't have AC so theres no condensor there. It feels like its still held on just in from the indicators on each side

It sounds like you have got all the bolts although you dont need to take the bottom black spoiler off as long as its detached from the undertray to remove the bumper. The bumper cover (inc lights)comes off separate from the alloy bar behind it and usually just requires a good tug (dont we all !!) as they tend to stick if they havent been removed for a while !!

I think there are bolts behind the indicators, though it's a while since I took mine off. You have to take the whole lamp out, not just the lens.

thats a good idea, never thought of that even though the CD has been sat in the drive for the last few weeks..... [:)]
