Bumper repair.

My silver Boxster 981 has a small indentation on the rear bumper. The paint is not cracked & it is not very noticeable. However it bugs me, as I see it every time i open the garage door. I don`t think it justifies having the bumper painted. I think all the paint on the car is original & I want to keep it that way if possible.

The dent cannot be knocked out in the traditional way as would happen with a steel panel. Does anyone know if anything can be done without painting.

Thanks, Paul

Sometimes a hot hairdryer will work combined with manipulating the adjacent areas with your thumbs, but yours looks from the pictures that its more of a crease than a indentation and doesnt normally work.

Paul,

Just a thought but have you tried contacting a paintless dent repair specialist to see if they can help? I’m sure there’ll be one in your locality and I would have thought repairing bumper dents is something they’ll be doing on a regular basis.

Thanks Jeff, I did call one firm who said they couldnt do it. Its probably worth trying a couple more

Cheers
