Bumper Scratch

I had my 996 4s' bumper scratched in a long term parking at Heathrow T1 []. It is minimal, but of course will be taken care of by the terminal operator.

What I had not counted on was AFN asking £825 to repaint it, including the 2 light stickers. Frankly, it is a complete rip-off even if I am not paying it. The terminal operator has asked me to have a look into it, and I have agreed.

So, anybody got a 1st class garage that do that, preferrably Porsche themselves. I do not mind having an excuse for a 1 / 1h30 excursion as long as I can get a replacement car from them which is not the Polo offered by AFN.

Thanks,

JAG

You don't say where you are located, but Solus at Heathrow, and Bodytechnics at Slough are both Porsche approved bodyshops (and are where AFN Chiswick, Reading and Guildford send cars for body repair). Maybe they are chaper without the "middleman"...

Can definitely recommend BodyTechnics in Slough! They did a respray of my Aerokit rear spoiler under warranty through AFN Guilford -there were some problems with earlier cars with the paint bubbling after a year or so- and while the car was there i took opportunity to remedy a scratch on the rear valence that i had done (wet leaves in garage, tiptronic, not much space, early in the morning... you get the picture[&:]). Did a wonderful job.
