Burnt Cables

i was looking by the washer bottle today and i noticed 6 burnt out cables, has any body got any clue what they are for or a wireing diagram so that i can rewire the car my self....

Any other symptoms? Pic? Where do the wires go to/ come from.
Is everything dead?
If you are having shorting problems I would disconnect the battery when not in use.
 
it looks liike its been their since i bought the car ive got a picture but needs developing still everything works fine though? ive now got a wireing diagram im going to follow it at the week end to what what
