Burnt CD's

OK I know its not specifically for a BOXSTER but someone here might know the answer.
I've just burnt a CD with some of my favorite tracks on, it plays on all my players in the house but not on my CDR-22 in the car ?, it just says ERROR when I load it.
Anyone any ideas ??.
I'm sure its straight forward but not being a tech-no fobe its baffled me.

Short awnser.... They dont work in CDR-22's. I had this problem in my 01 Boxster..

No problems though with them in CDR-23's

I suspect one of 3 things.

1) If you burnt the songs as MP3 file format and the CDR-22 doesn't play MP3s
2) Some CDs burnt on one player won't play on another, this is less common with better quality branded blank CD roms, which should normally work.
3) If neither of those are the cause, try a CD lens cleaner on the CDR-22, sometimes the error correction software will be working overtime if the CD lens is dirty and will struggle to read CDs, especially copies made on poorer quality CD ROMS.

I should also say that I burnt them as audio CD's and they worked in every other car I tried - including my girlfriends 01 Astra.

Strange.
I have about 100 CD's I have made back-ups of to use in the car (because I'd rather lose 100 copies than 10 originals) - and they all work (so far) on my CDR22.

I haven't copied over individual tracks however - just used Nero to copy whole CD's.

Try using an audio CD rather than an ordinary one. I have found this worked better on some players. I think sometime its luck of the draw if your player recognises the burnt CD.
