Butterfly reseal kit?

TTM

Well-known member
Hello,

Is anyone in the UK selling the small seals that go in the needle bearings of the butterfly?

Thanks.

Kit? not sure TTM, but for Seals at work we use:

Brammer.co.uk / Products / Bearings and Seals / Seals

They offer 25 million Seals and 36 million O-Rings

You need to know the materials and hardware dimensions, but I imagine that will be no problem.

Hope this helps

Err no, I don't know the dimensions... I have an old butterfly right here and could take the seals off but I doubt that would avoid me from mistakenly choosing one of the other 24,999,999 part numbers... or?

mine being done as we speak but we are pulling the needle bearings and fitting new ones,

I have brought stuff from Arnworks in the past very easy to deal with and quick to[:)] if you can not find a UK source

Can we pull the bearings without destroying anything?

Where did you source new bearings, and do they come with the seals?

Simon Peckham is doing it for me, I know it's not the usual way but he thinks it the best way,

I can ask him for sizes if you wish

I bought the arnworx kit for myself and Simon a few years back, he wasn't happy with some of the bits and sourced some other bits and bobs, I never got round to doing mine and did an exchange with him,
Tony

I'd speak to Simon - I bought a refurbed throttle body from him a few years ago

I can't use a refurbished TB, as I use an Audi TB which uses the same seals.

I have looked at the arnworx kit and I don't want to order from the US if I can avoid it.

Yes, and point well made actually. Thanks for the plug, hadn't thought of him.
