Butts Green Open Gardens and Cars on the Green?

I've got this in the diary for Sunday 23rd June from 9:30am but I can't seem to find any more details about it. Is the event still on or have I mistakenly put this in the diary from somewhere? Only thing I can find is an event from 2017!

Hi Dom, and anyone else who may want to know about this!

There is a guy called Greg who has been a bit busy at work who should have updated the R11 site by now. I will give him a telling off.

You are right about the start time and the date. The postcode is roughly CM2 7RN. And it is on the Green in the centre of , Butts Green Road, Butts Green, Essex (innit).

This is an annual open garden event and classic car show. Because one of our members is an organiser, it has become a classic car + R11 Porsche show. It's very informal - meaning you can arrive any time after the start and leave when you are ready. Bring your Porsche, or your classic car.

It is (from memory) £5 for the charitable ticket to visit all of the gardens. Most of the gardens are walking distance with a handful further up the road in Sandon for which you might want the free shuttle bus. There is tea and/or cake to be bought in many of the gardens too. Most of us will try to be back on the green around 12:30 to have a communal picnic.

No need to book. Might see you there?

Greg

Thanks Greg! I’ll try to make it for an hour but I’ve double booked myself at Maldon Coffee & Cars. Will aim to do
an hour or 2 at both.
