Buyer's checklist tutorial

Having had a brief run over my car with Duncan 956 after the Ace, it gave me an idea....aside from the fact I'd never looked inside the O/S cill....[]

How would people feel about a hands-on guide to appraising a 944 at Silverstone? Or, possibly a trial run at Frontrunner? I could try and set a time each day, and show how to spot corrosion, caliper lift, clutch wear, brake and fuel line condition etc. Would it only be preaching to the converted, or would there be people there planning to buy a 944 and interested in an honest guide to what to look for?

great shout mate i would of loved somthing like that when i was looking tbh still would be interested all the things you mentioned are the various pitfalls expensive ones at that

Paul

id be interested where is Cornbury House by the way, and can anyone go and can i turn up in a mondeo?

Good idea Paul.

I think they would prefer that people who did go to Cornbury House were actually members of the club (or at least joined the club on the day).
CH is situated at Moreton-in-the-Marsh, so it shouldn't be too far away from yourself David.

Cheers,

I would have thought that to invite others would promote the occassion, the club and therefore encourage membership.

Having said that I need to renew my membership [8|][8|] (which I will on the day [;)])

It sounds a good idea. It is always good to have another pair of experienced eyes going over your motor as things can sometimes be easily missed. It doesn't matter how much you know (or think you know), there is always room for more knowledge and anything that helps achieve that aim is a good idea.
