Buying a 993

Advice please,

Rather than upgrade from my MK2 GT3 to a 997GT3 I've all but decided to keep it and use the cash saved put another Porsche in the garage beside it:

I'm thinking 993 C2 Coupe or Cab (to keep the wife happy)

I'll use it for about 4-5k miles pa including the odd commute into the city and the odd run to Bristol/Birmingham. The wife will use it for the Waitrose run when I use our Jeep.

So questions:

• Most helpful specialist dealer for test drives around London /SE
• Will it be to heavy for the wife (her 'current other' car is a Scooby WRX).
• Should I consider a tip
• Should I go early or late. I've heard the varioram cars loose the cam settings and therefore do not actually produce much more power than an early car as they get older.
• What else should have been fixed by now
• Am I mad and should I just buy an early 996 cab.
