Buying Advice

Hi Guys

I need some advice here on buying a 997 (just sold my 996). I've found a 2005 C2S with 29k on the clock. Lots of extras. What mechanicals/body issues should I be looking for? Happy just to be pointed to other links.

Cheers

Mark

Oh, and if anyone has a 997 they want to sell for about 40k then worth letting me know. For information I live on the south coast.

997s are pretty reliable.

BUT

I would not buy without a warranty. Things get pretty expensive when they do go wrong on a modern 911.

If you are buying private, get an OPC to give it the once over, then buy a warranty from them.

Factor all this into what you pay.

Ring an OPC to see what they would give you for the car. It will give you an idea of what it is worth. £40K is not too far off the mark to buy, but you may well do a lot better in the current climate.

I've viewed the C2S I referred to earlier. Everything checks out except one thing. No VIL label in the service book. I'm guessing a lost book? Any thoughts?
