buying things from a forum #101

I gave up on page 30 when I realised I had 30+ more to go. Did the cheque clear?[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I thought the most important point to take from this is that the guy may very well have difficulty with things like finding a job and making any other deals on the internet after this - reasonably memorable name dragged through the mud and linked from half the web forum community in the world for the sake of $115. Crazy.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

A web forum for quad bikes [&:]

There really is a forum for everything isn't there?

See you later in the 'Airline Sickbags Online' community [:D]

Did the cheque clear?

don't know yet. it was only put in on Friday/Saturday!

I just thought it was a big laugh. The amount of offers to go round his house and beat him up is just typical of being able to hide behind the power of the internet!

It was a western union cheque that the guy was having trouble cashing. Someone suggested it could take 30 days to determine if it was a proper cheque or not.

There was a link to another story about a guy who ripped some other people off trading in CB radios. One of the people he tried to defraud sent a pipebomb to his house and fraudster was killed.

Absoluetly priceless! Up to 77 pages I think, got to page 3, is it still continuing, is this stuff copyright? Thinking of printing the whole thing off and publishing it in hard copy, worth a fortune![8|]

73 pages later (and it has to be said, a load of absolute rubbish in the last few), and still no answer. The admin's closed the thread, and said he'll update it when he gets a PM from the aggrieved.

I guess Chuck's not gonna pull that one again in a hurry...... [:D]
