Buying??????

Hi, First post and would like some help please.
Looking at a 996 c2 manual and a 996 c2 rag top tip.

The manual has done 52000 and the auto has 72000, both the same money.

The manual is in dark blue and so is the auto.
The auto has savanna leather but is a little worn on the steering wheel and also has a hard top.
The manual is gray in side.
Both cars are very nice condition but the auto has 7 owners? and the manual just a couple.

What would you buy, and why.

Any help please.
Ian

Sorry, but I couldn't resist:

If I wanted a coupe, I would buy the coupe.
If I wanted a cab, I would buy the cab.
And if I wanted a manual cap, or a tip coupe, I wouldn't buy either.

It all depends what you want, and how you are going to use it. There are plenty around, so wait until you find one with the specification you are looking for. Not very helpful, perhaps, but you must make the manual/tip/coupe/cab decision first, and then focus on getting the right car and deal. Don't rush - what you want is out there.

Hi,

Have to agree with Richard. I am coupe/manual through and through. If you want a summer weekend toy to cruise about then the Cab/Tip is the obvious choice.

If you want a toy for all year use and a bit of track experience then it would be the Coupe/Manual IMHO of course.

From the info you have given I would opt for the coupe/manual.

Enjoy your search

My choice would also be the 2wd manual coupe ... (just like mine) :)

But, if you prefer slushboxes, then go for the tiptronic ... only kidding ... the Porsche auto is very good, just not my cuppa tea.

You don't say the year or price - so no idea whether they're good value or not - and don't forget the OPC warrantee if you want peace of mind.

Thanks for the replys
It is the coupe that I like the best, it has 52000 miles, year 97, blue with grey trim
£19950
