Bye Bye Boxster

It has happened far sooner than I could've imagined. Yes, after only having my first Porsche (a 99T Boxster 2.5) only since August the bug has hit me hard and I now find myself just having put down a deposit for a beautiful 2000 X 996 C2 Tiptronic.

I love my Boxster to bits and can't bear to be rid of it. I only wish I could keep both, but I need four seats by the autumn and the bank manager definitely would take a dim view of not letting it go.

At the moment I feel more sad for the loss of "Kristen" than happy for the purchase of the "Kristen II".

Somebody please cheer me up...

I don't think the impending arrival of a 996 requires any kind of consolation!
I'm assuming that you require 4 seats because of an impending nipper? If you can let me know how you managed to convince your wife that a 996 was your ideal automotive solution I'd be grateful for the tip.

I am with you in missing the boxster - mines 25 days or so from trade in agisnt a new 997 C2S Coupe. I sahll miss the open top motoring and the great package tha the Boxster represents []

However, like you I am about to undertake a lifelong dream 911 ownership[:D]

Go on she fell for the "4 seats, can hold a nipper at a squeeze, think about how much more practical..." excuses and you got yourself another 100 bhp and about 70bhp/ton power increase, how cool is that!

Think of it like trading up to a new better boy/girlfriend - Remember you Boxster fondly for the good times but revel in the new toy!!![:D][:D][:D]
