Can anyone help!
I am just back from holiday after 10days and I have started up my C2S and to my horror it is misfiring and putting out white smoke.
The oil pressure is ok and it does not seem to be overheating but it is running like a bag of nails.
Anyone experienced this, does not sound good.

Regards

Stewart

Sounds ignition related. Crank sensor perhaps or a broken distributor drive belt? Get it to a Porsche specialist and let them plug in the diagnostic kit. It should pinpoint the problem.

You might find the screws very tight, it's worth spraying some penetrating oil on them before attempting to move them. If you strip the head you'll need a replacement unit which will cost you £250 I recall.

Just to let you know my car is sorted, It was actually an injector that had gave up,

This took OPC 3 Days to diagnose.
They replaced plugs which they said was the problem than phoned me up to say they think it might be an injector. Obviously it repaired under trial and error, so much for the professionals,
Not impressed and wont be using them again.
They also chipped the engine cover and gave me a bill for £565 for the pleasure.

Thanks for your help guy`s.

Im in Edinburgh.
There is a really good specialist Brian Miller but just my luck he was on holiday at the time.

Thanks

Out of interest, what was the bill for the actual injector ?

Reminds me of my first visit to an OPC 22 years ago. Finding a faulty oil cap seal (total cost £0.50) on my 2.7 911 required them to steam clean the engine and blow up all the electrics. Total bill over £400 for 3 days labour, new alternator and engine loom a huge amount (for me) in those days.

Never again .....
