Ok, I now have my iCarsoft Diagnostic Tool.
Have reset the oil service and maintenance/intermediate service messages.
Done a diagnostic scan, only one fault code came up.

C11011.
Now "strangely", when the car was serviced two years ago by my local Porsche indy, the diagnostic print out they gave also listed the same code as the only one as "abnormal/active"
Gateway
C11011 control unit faulty.

No mention of this was made when I picked up the car and obviously the fault code has been there fore 2 years.

Have googled C11011 and could not find anything definitive except this video which mentions the gateway control unit reset after having an oil warning lamp coming up on the dashboard.

"C" codes are generally communication errors. This is taken from my PIWIS tester, and it looks to me like something isn't coded correctly.

To sort it out, you would need to connect a PIWIS tester, and go through the vehicle data, to check that all the options are coded correctly, and then do the automatic coding routine. Or, if it isn't affecting anything, just live with it.

Thanks Richard.
Like I said, the fault code has obviously been there for 2 years, at least.
Have discovered that the gateway control unit is a "communication bridge" between various ecu's.
No other fault codes came up 2 years ago or today.
It seems that the gateway control unit itself is located somewhere in the vicinity at the rear of the nearside front wing.
As you say, if it's not affecting anything I will just leave it as it is.

Richard, I have a little bit more of a "play" this evening connecting my diagnostic tool to the car and when doing the diagnostic check zero error codes come up.
When scrolling down the list and entering "gateway" it then lists the C11011 code as "function restriction" which is exactly as your screen shot of your PIWIS tester.
Where as the print out I was given of the diagnostic check at the last service was C11011 Control unit faulty although no action was taken and as I said, I was not informed of this when I picked up the car.
