Hi guys what exhausts do you have? Ive seen a few that i'd like to hear in person but I don't know anybody that has them. So far the ones ive seen are;

Dansk sport/supersport (heard supersport is too loud but would need to hear this myself?)
DesignTek sport supremacy
PSE (quite a bit more expensive than the other 2 but is it better)

I would appritiate anyones opinions on any of these 3.

Cheers

Chris

P.S. I would settle for a GT3 like exhaust note[;)]

Hey Chris,

I have a PSE fitted. Love the growl and its been modded so I can have it quiet as well.

The loudness as not speed dependent any more.

The standard exhaust is stainless, but where it is welded at the seams it reduces the stainless properties, and they go crusty.

The originals on my C2 cleaned up fairly well with shot blasting. No pics, I'm afraid - I gave them to my neice's boyfriend.

I've got the PSE and it sounds great. But no way would I pay £4k to put one on the other car. I'd consider FVD and Manthey.

I going to do mine soon thanks Richard,(plenty of rainy days lately LOL)
Sorry all for off topic and apologies to Chriscoates81.
I thought for ages about changing my system but I think the OEM sounds and performs best where as others may sound good but I'm not sure about there performance anyone I had seen on dyno results looked to have lost some low end torque compared to stock.
A bit of back pressure is a good thing is it not ?.

Regards.

Also is it worth changing the headers or just the silencers? can I change the system on my own or is it worth going to a garage to do it as I don't have any way of jacking the car up other than on the standard jack.

Cheers guys

oh and also the guy above me, what where you saying no too?

So do you guys think a 12 year old exhaust can be modded with a bypass pipe without it falling apart? And whats a realistic guess for manhours to remove and weld?

Cheers

Chris

I love you man! :)

[:)] I've just read Roy's post and this seems like a good idea, does anyone know how much it increases the sound level as I would need to keep below the 105 dB limit for trackdays.
Many thanks
