Hi Guys,

My key doesn't seem to remotely open the boot even if the car is unlocked, I assume it should right ? So its probably the battery, anyone know what size battery it takes? I assume I can do this myself..please don't say its an OPC job LOL[:D]

Thanks

does it remotely open the car?

if so then it's not the fob

battery should be a cr2032 if you need one though

The small button switches on the circuit board can sometimes fail, so if one button is working and the other isn't, I expect that's what's wrong.

Does the red light on the remote flash when you press that button?

If you are handy with a soldering iron, there's a DIY here: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=27608 [;)] [;)]

Think the part code will be Pcr2032 with Porsche branding - otherwise your warranty will be invalidated [;)][;)][8|]

ooooopppppppppps forgot bout the bloody warranty ... suprised they haven't said you have to use a specific petrol supplier yet..[8|]

Thanks guys.. the red light does blink when you press the buttons... the car does unlock just the boot that doesn't.. perhaps the battery is just getting low .

I'll pick up a new battery and see if that does the trick a porsche branded one of course[;)]
