C2S Oil Temerature and Pressure Gauge

The oil temerature gauge has stopped working on my C2S. The sender unit has been changed and everything points to the instrument itself being faulty. This presents two problems!

1) Where to go to get it repaired or replaced - replacement could be new or secondhand I guess.
2) The C2S has a silver/grey colouring to the rim of the gauge which as far as I know is unique to the C2S ... so clearly I would want to match things up and a standard black gauge is therefore probably not the answer.

My guess is it is best to get it repaired but where to go - and what might it cost?

Thanks

Robert

Just do an internet search on "Car Instrument Repairs" and you'll get a list of options. Speedograph Richfield have been around for a good while but there are no doubt other good companies in this field too. Nick

Thanks everyone, I spoke with Alan at Autostrasse (Coggeshall Essex Tel : 01376 562922) who suggested "Speedy Cables" in Swansea (http://www.speedycables.com/index.html). I have not used them yet (instrument has started woirking again!) but they were very helpful on the phoine and seemed to know their stuff ... "no problem" with the repair/overhaul and suggested a circa £60.00 cost plus carriage. In case anyone is interested. Robert

Mr Julian Reap - Reap Automotive Design 0208 863 2305 He might be worth a call. They apparently used to have the contract for supplying and fitting the coloured dials for 993's directly for Porsche GB dealers.
