C2S suspension for the wise guys who think they know

How often do we read about the C2S 'Best 993 model, but the suspension is quite firm'. Would the wise guys let us know the difference between the 4S / turbo 4 suspension, as no-one ever comments on this. Presumably this is more or less the same in terms of ride?

At the age all 993s are now at, you will probably find many have had new / different dampers and maybe new / different springs fitted. What was fitted when new is becoming less relevant anyway.

Hopefully Maurice will confirm this but here's my knowledge:

UK 4S's have M033
TT's have M030 and different roll bars and possibly other stuff due to the heavier car.

So the statement '4S's have turbo suspension' just isn't true I'm afraid - and arguably better for it.

I'm certainly no 'wise guy', so I'm a trifle unsure where this is heading ...[:-]

But the answer has been given several times on this august repository, and may even appear in PP next issue ... [;)]

Just to complete Kenny's very wise reply [:D] ...

All S & 4S models come standard with M033 (lowered chassis) and 'normal' ARBs.
M030 option on all n/a cars includes progressive rate springs and bigger ARBs.
TT is roughly equivalent to M030, but rear springs cater for increased engine weight, and the rear ARB is 21 mm ..

Now you will have to find other items of interest in November PP ...[&:]

cheers, Maurice [8|] .. (where can I train to be a proper wise guy ??)

This is useful and would be good to get into the Porsche Post as people so often get this wrong.
