Just thought I would post an update.
I had complained about my clutch-the take up position would move, you had to hit the carpet after a while. The OPC under warrantee repaired 3 times with bleeding despite my complaints about why it was necessary.
At the 1st year service they discovered it was a faulty bleed nipple on the slave cylinder. So the whole cylinder was replaced and they also removed the gearbox
checking the linkage.
Result-its now lighter than my 03 boxster!super smooth and the gearchange lighter.
Just annoying it took 4 goes to sort it .
Any thoughts on following-I mentioned to the OPC that the oil filler pipe gets
that orrrible mayonaise emulsion in it.answer -they all do?
It was clear in the dry summer but after a 250 ml wet run back-I can see why it condenses because even after a good track thrash the pipe is cold-but can't understand where the moisture comes from?
Whilst having the service the technician showed me the data log -I think you will be aware the car logs engine management stage 1=OK stage 2=possible damage from mechanical overreving as in change to a gear too low.
pleased to say I had 0 stage 2 and I know I've hit the limiter a few 4-5 times-usually 2nd gear overtaking which gives about 2/3sec 40-70mph when your concentrating on the road.
Maybe 1 on the track.
Computer read 152 running hrs and 153 stage 1-they were quite happy with that but I can't understand.
Anyone else seen there's?
Maybe it includes PSM logs? On/Off

Peter, I was under the impression that the system logs each & every time you hit the rev limiter & also any serious over revving ! So the 153 stage 1 is probably the number of times you have hit the rev limiter ! Big brother is watching, I also read that Corvettes have a black box that saves the last few minutes of driving data , incase you have an accident. This is supposed to enable the manufacturers to protect themselves by proving their car wasn't at fault, but a guy has just been convicted of dangerous driving (in the states) on the evidence of the box !!! Where will it all end !!!!!!!!!!

Grant-
I have had a think about it -I think the stage 1 logs must be all interventions of the engine management which would include PSM inputs.
That makes more sense as I'm quite sure I have not had more than 1/2 doz
rev limits.I don't know about dealer test pilots of course.

peter branch,
Yes thats the point of the dual log-If you mechanically overrev as in changing down inappropriately then its logged as a stage 2 event which the dealer may use against you in the event of mechanical damage.
With PSM the power is regulated to avoid excess wheelspin and oversteer.
