I maybe able to get this £40,500, does this sound good to you or if not what should it really be worth (private sale)

ORIGINAL: John Ware

Sounds a good deal. Make sure you have an independent inspection though.

The reason it is such a good deal is it belongs to my Dad....and i have been given first refusal, just out of interest what should this be fetching privately (it is in immaculate condition)

That is a good price, and you will have the knowledge of its history. Extended Porsche Warranty would be nice.

It's not easy to sell cars privately, at this price level, unless they are exceptional.

For what it's worth, there is a similar spec 03 car for sale on another site at 49995.
Personally that is a good price, and I have been looking for a C4S for almost a year.
As mentioned earlier, see if you can get the 111 point check and OPC warranty.

With the known history, sounds like a bit of a no-brainer personally

I just paid about £1000 more for a similar (but not quite as good spec.) car with quite a lot more miles from an independant - and I still think I've got a good deal. I'd bit your dad's arm off......

I don't think its a very good deal at all.

Give me your dads number and I'll save you and buy it off him instead.

OATZ,

You may be ok without an inspection then. [;)]

However, it sounds like a dreadful car. You should turn it down and give your Dad my number..... [:D]

If any of you guys looking for a C4S want a great plate I have C4 SXL on retention, kept it when I changed mine for a GT3 in 04.

Was sort of toying with the idea of getting a 993 C4S as a daily drive but she who must be obeyed put her foot down and I've bought a new house instead!!!!

Any way looking to recover my costs of buying the plate from DVLC and cost of retention so price will be reasonable.

If interested mail me direct.

Regards

Kevin

The only thing I like in any car I buy now is a SatNav system but having just ripped the PCM 1 system out of my C4S and replaced with a Kenwood system, not having it in the first place isn't a problem. Also, I've just bought a TomTom Go 500 for my wife's new Golf and I have to say that I prefer the SatNav on it to my Kenwood system (plus it does Bluetooth handsfree)!

Cheers,

Mike

You can buy that, get the Porsche Sports Exhaust retrofitted at considerable expense and still get your money back in a years time. Sounds like a no brainer to me. Lovely car.
