Hi Barry Clarkson here - As it says my beloved C4S has a slight water leak that we have traced to the off side water pipe - its the one running from front to back beneath the car and finally goes up and over the engine . This pipe comes in sections and its the rearmost section that runs from the floorpan area and bends its way up and over the top of the engine where you can then see it from looking under the lid from above . We have our own mechanics and ramp here but the pipe looks and absolute rat to replace - can anyone shed some light on just how this is possible - surely its not and engine out job !! Any help / pointers / tips / experiences are very much apprecaited , Im down for Thirlstane on Sunday and dont know whether to chance it with the slight water leak ??!? - thanks Barry Clarkson

Ask George Morrison .......I take it you have tried the OPC.... Post on the 996 section as Richard is the guru on there

Hi Barry,

Soon after my purchase I too had a leak that took OPC 3 weeks to sort out as the part on the 'fish' for my 4S manual was coming up as a tiptronic.......

It was listed as 'coolant rail'..... the leak appeared to be coming from just forward of the rear wheels but was hidden by undertrays

hth with identifying your problem

Regards

Paul
