Been thinking of buying a c4s for sometime as I really like the shape. Coming from a 993 , it is a very different drive and the interior is,of course, much more modern.
Having taken 1 for a test drive recently and checked out another one today, I noticed that both had extremely stiff clutch pedals - more so than my 993. As my 993 is my daily driver I want something that is more daily driver friendly.
Could anyone offer their advice if a stiff clutch pedal on a c4s is the norm please?

I don't know whether the Turbo clutch is any different but my turbo's clutch does not feel stiff.
 
I think the turbo has a hydraulically assisted clutch. My c2 had a stiff pedal after I had the clutch replaced however it was fine as a daily driver. It's quite easy to get used to.

Thats what I thought but both tried have been heavy, more so than my 993 which is surprising. Unless both need replacing which I would have thought is unlikely. I dont really want a daily driver where the clutch is heavier than my 993.
 
I don't think it should be that heavy I have not driven a 993 for years, but my c4 feels fine and my daily is a 207 and the clutch is very light going into the 996 it doesn't feel heavy check another one for good measure.
 
I have a 996 c4s 2004 with 30k on the clock and the clutch is not heavy at all compared to other cars i have driven. My daily drive is a 2007 astravan 1.9 diesel and can't notice much difference between the two.

as above others may also care to comment but usually when the clutch gets stiffer and more heavy it is usually as sign it is getting a bit long in the tooth however if it aint slipping depending how hard it is to depress I would leave it

when the clutch was replaced recently on mine I was astonished how light it felt and that was with an uprated component

certainly with the turbos most people comment they are quite light which is oddly why the americans also swap the sytem over the the GT2 system ( that is definately heavier however they all feel you get a better feel I have never had a problem)
