Cab boot locked - HELP !

I'm posting this hoping that someone is able to help ! Having fitted a new boot lock seal on my cab successfully ie taking the boot lock apart from the inside, all looked good and like a fool I closed the boot and guess what, it won't open again !

With the rear seat backs down I can see that the Bowden cable (the cable that runs from the release motor to the lock), has come detached. I've tried everything including a coathanger most sucessfully to hook into the hole and pull but to no avail - has anyone got any suggestions ????????

Tricky! maybe a bicycle brake cable inner and one of those long grabby things from an accessory shop? Not familiar with the cab so dont know how much space you have but good luck. IIRC in the coupe it pulls sideways so can it be knocked with a suitable stick?

I forget exactly what the cab is like as I never had any cause to meddle with mine.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]It's different to the coupe as it has only one catch in the middle so you don't have the linkage rods and also because you have only 8" or so of boot height - not enough to get in and up close. Lucky the seat backs were down or you'd have a real problem as the catches are in the boot (for security when the top is down).[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Thanks guys.....

I've tried everything now - the real problem is the lack of space as the gap with the seats down is only about 6 inches ! It's off to my local Porsche specialists in the morning I think and hope they can have it sorted by Thursday in time for Le Mans......

Well, the car's been with my local specialist all day and apparently there's a emergency boot release inside the nearside rear wing if you remove the plastic vent - it doesn't tell you that in the handbook does it ??

It certainly mentions something about an emergency boot release, and how to use it. I don't have it handy to check whether it is in the nearside rear wing or not.
