Cabriolet hood not responding to remote.

My 2007 C4S hood used to close or open up from the remotes. This stopped up or down a while ago, the alarm light in the 'lock' button flashes on the dash, I've changed batteries on both keys, all to no avail? ??
Any 'local' knowledge/ experience?

Internet Guess......

Any car battery related "outages" recently - totally flat, or disconnected for a long time. Thinking that the car may have forgotten it's programming and gone into "transit" mode.

Battery hasn't been out for over a year, and I keep the Ctek connected if I don't drive it for any time, I am thinking of disconnecting the battery and seeing if it has any effect.
Never heard of "transit" mode. What is it and how do you get out of that?

Transit mode is where the car forgets its non core options - typically things like heated seats, interior lights, sometimes headlights - essentially the mode it gets shipped from the factory - can happen if the battery has been out for a long time ( or completely flat ) - only way out of it is PIWIS diagnostics doing a "handover reset" - but that doesn't sound like your issue.
