cabriolet roof closure on key

Hi....after some advice with a minor roof issue. My roof opens and closes fine on the interior switch. It opens fine on the fob as well but when I try to close it there is an issue. It gets 95% closed (to the point the windows are nearly shut) and then some of the time stops and reverses. It not always the same windows. Sometimes it the main ones and sometimes the last few centimetres of the rear quarters. I have tried holding the window switches fully shut for 30 seconds. ( been suggested it resets the max closure position) and I have also silicone lubed the seals to ensure none of the windows are catching causing the regulators to trip. Any ideas... Can't understand why it only does it ising the key fob?
Thanks in advance..
Dave.

Hi, are we just talking the windows here?

Mine works fine save on occasions the drivers window nearly closes and then goes down. Only happens with the drivers door window, and from asking other owners etc this is apparently not unknown, and is due to the window thinking somethings trapped and so re opening. Apparently OPC's re grease that window which tends to cure it, but not sure how long for.

Appreciate this isn't quite what you're getting, and no one I spoke to mentioned the rears being an issue, but I do wonder if its a similar problem. Have you spoken with an OPC? If you've got their warranty then they should be approached to fix, but worth asking their opinion, even if you haven't?

I'd be interested in knowing what the cause/solution is as and when you find out.

There's been a recall for some models for the driver's side window. Some have needed the glass replacing.
Regards,
Clive.

Hi, once the windows go back down it reverses the whole process ....roof as well. Spoke to the OPC who suggested lubricating the seals which I have done.
I only have an aftermarket warranty which I doubt is going to cover this intermitent problem.
