Caliper adaptors / brackets

Nope but tell me if you find a cheap supply. Otherwise its easier than people would have you believe to stick on a set of late turbo hubs in complete form. Specify 89' on if your buying from a breaker though otherwise you might end up with the same size brakes!

Speak to Stuart from the 968 register (or Vicky) on 0161 355 1275. I am reliably informed that he has some sets. He runs a business selling parts related to the 968 called K300 Performance.

The problem is getting hold of some. I've been scouring all the usual places for a pair for ages and not found any at all.

Would you trust a man who specialises in Morgans? [;)]

If having brackets fabricated I would also highly recommend having shims manufactured to fit between the hub and the disc. This will help offset the disc an avoid it abrading the steering knuckle rubber boot. 4mm should be ideal.

You could also have a 3mm shim made to go in front of the disc to provide the optimum +7mm offset for running late Porsche front wheels :)

Errrrrrrrrr yes. [:)]

When you see his workshop and the CNC and machine tools he has and what he makes you will drool.

You`ll be hard pressed to find better quality ally fabrications/welding anywhere else.

Ive managed to get a new pair of brackets from a guy on the 968 forum , all being well i should get them on tuesday. John where is the rubber boot as ive looked on my turbo and s2 and cant see any boot that comes anywhere near the disc ??

John's referring to the track rod end. When you fit the larger disks the gap between the disk and the track rod end is only a few mm. I'm not aware of any issues with this but I guess it is a risk due to the small amount of clearance should anything get stuck in between.

I've just bought some of bigdave from this forum for £85.
Im having some problems with the later discs. They don't fit my hubs so i might not be able to use the calipers.
If i can't get some discs that fit, my adaptors will be up for sale.

Ive got a spare pair of hubs to play with off the car which look to me to be off a S2/220 turbo (i was told 968). I have just spent 2 hours getting the 2 screws out of the discs and put the new discs on (928 s4) these fitted straight on and also clear the disc backing as well !!!

Recieved my brackets this morning, looking at them they should be fairly easy to get a machine shop to make some up !! Im off to fit them so i will let you all know how i got on .

All done ,not on the car yet but i have a complete pair of front legs ready to bolt on if it ever stops raining !!!
