Hi all
I have started the process of getting my wheels refurbed on my 2001 Boxster 3.2 S, while they are off i am repainting the calipers as the red paint is very dull on them, my issue is the following, while taking the caliper retaing bolts out they all picked up metal from the bolt holes in the hub, the bolts are steel and the hub is an alloy of some sort, the threads in the alloy hubs will be fine after running an M12 x1.5 tap through them, i have ordered new bolts, would i be better off using a loctite grease i have for assembling dissimilar metals, ( in case they have to come off again) or would i go for a loctite thread locking solution,
Thanks
Dave
