Calipers

My first post.

The brakes on my 1990 C4 are starting to squeal, and I suspect the calipers need to be de-corroded - not unusual I understand with these alloy calipers.

I would prefer to have the calipers properly overhauled, but I would do the "taking off and putting back" bit myself. I will do the discs and pads at the same time.

Can anyone recommend someone who does caliper overhauls? Is it costly?

Thanks

This was covered in 911 & Porsche World about 6months ago.
Philip Raby did an excellent acticle with pics, showing all the steps. Maybe you can get a back copy !?
Personally I've just had mine done at Roock Sportsystems in Leverkusen (I'm luck to be just 130miles away).
It cost just over 900 euros for cross-drilled disks, new Porsche pads, anti squeal shims, wear sensors & handbrake shoes.
Not bad, me thinks, though the calipers were in good order.
Good luck.
