You are not wrong, the weather was terrible and only the hardiest turned out.
However, as a member who was attending their first PCGB event - I was impressed by the number who did make the effort.
I would just like to thank all those who did attend for making Sue and I most welcome - the weather did not discourage us from attending future events - probably because we enjoyed the Saturday run out so much!, great cars, roads and company....and it stayed dry.
Thanks again to all.

I think my jacket is still wet from Knocky on Sunday.[&:]
Enjoyed it though and got a slap up lunch and a slight dry-off in the SEAT VIP tent. [] Enjoyed watching Harvey chasing down Sheddon, but the local boy done good.
Hi All
Got to say really enjoyed the run on Saturday, good turn out of cars and of people,
Had a nice lunch in a lovely hotel over looking the river at Kenmore, then a spirited drive back to Callander.
Again on Sunday had a great time the crack was good, the barbecue was better.
But the weather was absolutley crap!!!!!!!!!
It didnt dampen our spirits to much as a group of 28 of us met up after the event
at the Lion and Unicorn in Thornhill for a slap up dinner.[8D]
It was good to meet up with you and Sue again Mark, and get a little run out with the two Turbos.[]
Will catch up with you again[] at the Hawes Inn on thursday if you can make it.
Cheers Al

Just back from the show ..it was a washout the smart people stayed away, only us daft people went along .
Brian
Seems that my post has upset people and my wording has been taken out of context .If I have upset people I am sorry... As a X Ro I know the effort that goes into these events and the weather can ruin it .It was the same last year wet all day All in all it was a shame as a lot of effort went into it and people enjoyed the day despite the rain ,the barby table given by Tony helped to dry us out as well as cook the sausages .

And the really smart ones stayed at home and watched the full day live from Knockhill from their sofa (that's on that fangled new satemelite telly that us youngsters have [])ORIGINAL: Mike58
Once a dafty... always a dafty
The really daft people went to knockhill.. the smart people can watch the racing this Sunday 4th Sept on Ch3 ( STV for the oldies) and see the touring cars really do their stuff in a drenched K'Hill

Brian, you were clearly commenting on the weather rather than the event. Given I cannot see any complaints on this thread I can only presume someone has contacted you off-line. If this person would like to contribute to the forum in general then would they please make their objection public.
Maybe the person complaining should try joining in with the forum and realise the light-hearted nature and fundamental tone of all conversations on this forum before judging meaning. Once they have done this they may realise the context and manner of Brian's post and realise that their criticism was perhaps unwarranted and an apology to one of the club's longest serving, most dedicated and hardest working members is in order.

Second that. I thought the original post was completely innocuous and I personally had planned to attend but did not due to the weather.Once they have done this they may realise the context and manner of Brian's post and realise that their criticism was perhaps unwarranted and an apology to one of the club's longest serving, most dedicated and hardest working members is in order.
