Could someone kindly post an image for me of the earthing points under the bonnet just in front of the fuse/relay box.

I think they may be in a different place to my S2 and I need them to show another owner where to clean his MPll & MPlll earthing points .
many thanks
Nick

Hi Nick

Had a look under my 2.7 bonnet - cant see any earthing point infront of relay box

thanks Mike
that looks like one earth point on the top chassis rail where the brown wire connects ./
Can you see where it goes to ?
The other earth points are shown about half way down the engine bay on the passenger side. I know there is an important earth point under the passenger headlight .Usually about 3x brown cables connect here for the horn, lights etc.
Im looking for GPll and GPlll on the schematic below

Just occured to me they may be under the dashboard on the passenger side next to the ECU or on the side panel of the footwell beside it.?

Hi Nick
The wire just disappears into the black plastic cylinder - but I've no idea what that is!
Will check tomorrow under the dash and down the side of the engine bay if I get the chance, I've not looked there in this car, but I know the square dash car has a 6 or 8 spade "crown" for an earth point there.

Thanks Elliot it must be the earth for the ABS system . I am thinking the earths I am looking for are in the passenger footwell . I'll look at mine tomorrow it must be similar to a 944S

Hi Nick
Checked last night and agree with Elliot re that earth, and although I cant see it I think I can feel an earth under the dash.

thanks Mike
I have a mental picture of you creeping around in the dark with a torch and your carpet slippers lol[:D] now all I need is a picture [;)]

Still got my work boots on!
Will have a hunt with my phone - also there is a mirror image of the earth on the n/s wing on the right one too.

Taken looking up from the passenger footwell, corner of the glovebox is along the top of the pic.

Edit - I dont do slippers!

thank you Mike thats excellent. There is apparently another one somewhere near and i suspect it is behind the side carpet panel .I'll rip mine out tomorrow and take a look. Looks like there is another thick brown cable there that runs under the glove box ? maybe to the fuse/relay box ?
Cheers fella[:D]
