Running Reports and Member's Cars Section

Richard Hamilton and I, would very much like to thank everyone who has already contributed to this section of the forum. You have all taken time out to write something that has, I'm sure you'll agree, made a valuable addition to this forum. The contributions have been very impressive and very entertaining! (Especially John Taplins donuts![:D])

We are currently looking for 3 more members to join our running report team.

We are also looking for any other members who would like to share with us a Members Car's report. The more the merrier. It will give us all a chance to get to know who you all are, and how you all arrived at 996 ownership![;)]

A guidline for what we are looking for is listed below.

Report Format "" Members Cars:[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
1. An introduction to your purchase of the 996, from a previous marque or previous Porsche(s), and your reasons for the move. (1 paragraph or so)
2. Your thoughts on your 996 and the pros and cons compared to your last car/model. (1 paragraph or so)
3. Comparative running costs including MPG and depreciation......and any upgrades made, things you wished you had/rather not had. (1 paragraph or so)
4. A short conclusion with your final thoughts (1 paragraph or so)

[FONT=verdana,geneva"][FONT=verdana,geneva"]Report Format "" Running Reports:

This can include anything to do with the car, region meetings, accidents (hopefully not), repairs, servicing experiences, upgrades, or just talk about the sheer pleasure of driving your cars! On slow news months you could always write a random report/rant about Porsche or cars in general (a la Jeremy Clarkson). 1/2 to 3/4 of a page will do, but this is not rigid.[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]If anyone is willing, just say the word on here.[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]Thanks again![FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Do you just want to do a Member's Cars Report or both?
If you also want to do a running report, then choose 1 from the following 2 report schedules:

1. April/July/November
or
2. May/September/December

Either way you can PM me directly through here.

Thanks Rob.[;)]

Hi Julie,

As Richard says, we'd love to have you on board![;)]

Are you ok to go with the May/September/December scedule for your running reports?
If you also want to do a Member's Cars report, you can send that to either of us at any time.

Thanks again.

Hi Stu,

Thanks a lot, and good to have you on board. I have sent you an email.
Follow Richard's instructions and get yourself set up as a member first.[;)]

I don't want to say I've been at it again but...

Recently moved offices to Fort Dunlop just outside Birmingham. Huge building, huge car park, not many tenants so far, recent snow. I'll leave the rest to your imaginations! Thankfully I wasn't alone, over the two or three days where weather permitted I watched an L200 animal, a scooby, a vauxhall omega, an XJ Jag driven by someone who should've known better, a boxster, a mini, a pug 206 and funniest of all a honda jazz all enjoying themselves. The security guards had a great time watching everything on video over a few days. Didn't make me fee so bad for my recent childeshness! Amazing really, I'm actually quite sensible in real life [:D]

My point, none really other than life is for living and your car is to put a smile on your face! Mine does and on this occasion all at less than 10 miles an hour!

Happy driving!
