Hi should there be a "Top-Hat" type bush or nut on the end of the spring centre guide?

The pin keeping both spring seats straight is threaded as we are supposed to block the tensioner fully compressed with a nut as the pin protrudes out on the other side. In my experience though it is not needed, as compressing the whole thing is really hard and when done in situ the tensioner roller prevent the assembly to be pulled out as it comes hitting the front pulley.

That's exactly what Tom said (He's doing the job) but we were worried by the witness marks suggesting something had gone AWOL.
