Hey guys, just been checking out the Marcus Fothergill website. They are based in Harrogate, and are selling a 993 turbo4, reg number, R40 BHP. Has anyone had dealings with MF or know of them, they dont appear to have a showroom, and any viewing is by appointment only. More to the point, does anybody know of this particular car??? It looks superb[8D], as they all do, and the price is about right[;)]

Im staying in Harrogate towards the end of the month, and might check the car out, any info would be greatly appreciated[:D][:D][:D]

Hi Glenn,

I bought my first 911 (a 1982 SC) from Marcus back in 1995. The car was OK but was at he top end of the price range for SCs at that time.

Marcus operated from the Citroen dealer (David Fox) in Harrogate when I bought my car. Since then I think David Fox has moved (or gone out of business) and Marcus has operated on an independent basis. I think he deals with all sorts of performance cars besides Porsches (I remember seeing BMW ZM Coupes advertised by him last year). I don't think he has any premises as viewing seems to be by appointment.

At one time he used to turn up at club nights but I haven't seen or heard of him for a long while now. Have a word with Richard Hunter or Dave from Strasse for a more up to date view on his more recent activities.
