I wonder if anyone can help?

I have been contacted by the German Boxster Club. They have for some time been organising a trip to Scottland, and Porsche Club liason have suggested that some inter-club activity would be nice. To that end they have requested that some Boxsters (or ANY Porsche would do!) meet them on Sunday at Newcastle, and drive with them to thier first hotel in Aberdeen...
On the Monday they say they are meeting with the Porsche Club Scotland(???) I don't know if this is the R1 and/or R2 people? If anyone knows please let me know!

I'm right at the other end of the country, and just can't make this, but if anyone from The North fancies a drive out on Sunday, with a bunch of German Boxsters, I'm sure they will be very grateful, and so would I!

Attached below is an automated traslation of the groups webpage detailing the event (--> original German here <--) Hopefully the badly translated German is understandable...

If anyone can help please let me know!

Mark

[FONT=arial"]Here's the covering email that was sent to us, with a little more info...[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

Hello John,

i hope you remember me. Now we have finished our planning for the trip to
scotland. please have a look on our webpage www.boxster-group.de then click
on "Reisen". The first entry is about our tip. It's in german only, but you
can see the route and the hotels.
We have discussed the trip with the porsche club germany and the porsche
club coordination and they want us to meet with an porsche club from great
britain if possible. As the week is almost full with attractions i have to
possibilities to meet you.
First some of you can meet us on the sunday we arrive in Newcastle upon Tyne
by ferry and drive with us to the first hotel. You can guide us thru the
landscape and we can have lunch together in Edinburgh or on the way to our
hotel. The second possibility is that we meet on monday, perhaps at the
porsche centre in Aberdeen, and have a full day together.
We will arrive on Sunday morning the 7th in Newcastle upon Tyne with up to
10 cars. What do you think about my ideas. Do you have any other
suggestions?

best regards,

Daniel

Mark,

If I have got it right, the guys are going to be returning on Sunday 14th. That is the day the Northeast region is having their Regional Concours. If they make an early start to get to Raby Castle, they would be able to spend a few hours there and get back for the ferry late afternoon.

Martin

No chance, sorry. I read of this endeavour a while ago and thought it might be an idea to tag along for a bit (regardless of the rather long drive there for me), since I could function as a translator too [;)] , but in reality I am booked this Sunday for a fun drive through Sussex.
