Can Anyone Help With A Torque Setting?

Hi,
Trying to find out the correct torque setting for the bottom pulley bolt (crank pulley) on a pre varioram 3.6 engine. FWIW the engine now has the single pulley from a 993 RS fitted. Have tried to access the workshop manual from the Cannell site to find out for myself but the file is too large and keeps crashing mid download.

Thanks in advance.

Couldn't find it in the 993 manual but I think Porsche often only include changes from the previous model. The 964 manual states the following: "V-belt pulley to crankshaft. Thread - M14x1.5. Tightening Torque - 235nm (173lbft).

Hope it helps.

My 993 workshop manual shows "V Belt Pulley to Crankshaft - M14 x 1.5 - 170NM (125 ft. lbs.).

I'd be happy to extract the torque settings pages for you. Drop me an email and I'll attach them to a reply.

Thanks for putting that right Richard, that's a big differance! Surprised the torque figure differs that much between the two cars, I guess it does show you can't take anything for granted.

Regards

Richard, that's great - no need to send me the sheet, 'your word is your bond' as Arthur Daley might once have said ;-)

The 993 engine is going into my 911SC, bottom pulley has been removed in favour of an RS spec single pulley - no a/c required so the twin pully has been dumped . Too much information....sorree.

Jeremy.
