Can Anyone Identify This Part

Hi guys. I was nosing round my engine today and noticed a part under the left hand side of the inlet manifold. The part looked to be a screw in sensor of some sort with an orange body. It also had two small nipples on the top (one of which has broken off) which look as though they would accommadate a vacuum line each. It is fitted in the pipe that feeds the heater matrix just before the heater control valve. The car is running great so it makes me wonder more what this part is???? If anyone needs a pic I can get one tomorrow because my memory stick for the camera is up the swanny.
