There are a lot of possible complications necessary to answer before you can come to any conclusion. I recall from previous threads that this car has been subject to some conversion work and you'll need to know whether it has the generic wide bodied trailing arms or the narrow body parts.
The wide body trailing arms usually use ET61 wheels and I would have thought ET50 wheels would stick out quite a lot if that were the case. ET50 is just about OK with a 9.5J wheel when fitted to the narrow body trailing arms. Going much larger than a 265 may give some problems with only a 9.5J wheel though. In terms of rolling radius, the 295/30 is closest to the 265/35 but you may have to compromise with a 285/30 to avoid clearance issues. I've tried to check the suitability of a 285/30 on a 9.5J wheel but I can't immediately find a decent web site to check it. I run a 285/30 on my BBS LMs but they are 10J on the rear - mine's a wide body conversion with narrow body trailing arms.

Dave
Edited to add that I've just checked on http://www.rims-n-tires.com and established that either 285/30 or 295/30 are OK to fit on a 9.5J wheel.

Matt,ORIGINAL: 65 mat
My car has the wide trailing arms Dave (965 part numbers). Will you be at Donington next week so we can discuss + me look at your car?
I certainly plan to be there. If it's tipping it down with snow or anything similar I might be tempted to cry off but I'll feel like I've let the side down if I don't turn up!!!
Hopefully see you then.
Regards
Dave
