hi just had a freind sit on the front of car put a dent on the panel just below the bonnet would u know if this can b taken off

If you mean the badge panel then yes it can. I have never done it but I believe it just unscrews. You will see some of them if you open the bonnet.

thanks just that i took out screws on top but didnt seem to do much just needed to know before getting to involved didnt want to take car in

there are alsobolts underneath the rubber strips underneath the headlamps(when the headlamps are up)

All model have a screw on panel after '87 that I know of, think it may well have been around 85.5 when they changed the interior etc.

Before that its likely to be welded on

Look for recommendations for your local paintless dent removal guy. They can work wonders for very little money.

Your friend, being a friend, will of course offer to pay the bill and give you a few bottles of wine for your trouble... [;)]

Series one cars, 924s and all 924Ss have a welded on panel, which can only be removed by drilling out the spot welds. Series two cars (built from September 1985 for the 1986 model year) have bolt-on panels. 944 Turbos and 944S2s both have bolt on badge panels, as theyre both series two cars, but this feature is not limited to those models alone.

Remove the fuse from headlight motor or disconnect the battery or you wont be holding a screwdriver ever again if you trip the motor!
