Hi Guys

This has wound me up for long enough, finally remembered to get a pic to show.

Can this be fixed or will it need to be re-trimmed?

Thanks

I had a deep scratch in one of my 911 rear seats (caused by a trouser stud).

A spot of googling advised rubbing it with Olive oil to try and bring the leather back "up" again, it involved a lot of rubbing but it really minimised the damage present and now it's not all that noticeable. Do try it out of sight first before working on a noticeable area.

the other thing I'd try if you haven't already is a good quality leather cleaner and restorer to see if this resolves it.
Good luck

if the surface is physically damaged it will always show in certain lighting conditions and directions because it is reflecting light at different angles compared to the undamaged areas.
You may be able to work it as has been suggeted to reduce the damage.
Is it leather or vinyl ?
