OK best shot lol.

Airflow meter
Not on my turbo. Doesn't the S2 have an ignition amplifier?
Not on my turbo
Ditto
Vacuum resevoir
Connector for heater blower maybe?
Possibly headlamp levelling motor. Could do with a better view.
Throttle position switch
Fuel damper or pressure regulator
Bonnet switch possibly for bonnet light now probably used for the alarm

Lol do we get a score? Maybe be even a star or perhaps a must try harder see me [:D]

All of these are from an S2, as I recognise the orientation and position of the AFM:

AFM
N/S counter balance for pop-up headlight
Junction box next to Clutch Master Cylinder
Junction box on N/S in front of the fuse box
Driver's side, inside the bulk head, vacuum reservoir with the washer pipe
View from the N/S looking into the heater/blower unit under the plastic scuttle cover
O/S headlight mechanism showing the levelling motor
TPS
Fuel pressure stabliser/ pulse remover
Under bonnet switch for both the alarm and activating the under bonnet light when the headlights are on.

Ah so the counter balance was the subject of second photo. I was looking at the small module to the right.

Thanks Nick! Answers are embedded below.

Air flow meter. (Easy)

part4.jpg

Back of the headlight mechanism on the LHS. RHS - dunno. It looks like a thingy that plugged into the hall sender on Mk1 golfs, but I don't know what it is on the S2. (And have never noticed it on my car.)

part1.jpg

Wiring loom connector. Not sure which one.

part3.jpg

Pretty sure my S2 doesn't have one of these. Are you sure it's standard? Those screws don't look very Porsche-esque.

part6.jpg

Dunno, but have often wondered. Vacuum reservoir of some kind? Odd shape for it. What happens if you disconnect it?

part7.jpg

Connector. For the heater fan, I think.

part8.jpg

Headlight height adjustment motor (at a guess. Not sure whether my S2 has this.)

part9.jpg

Connector on bottom of air flow meter.

part10.jpg

Fuel pressure regulator.

part2.jpg

Bonnet open switch for built-in alarm.

How many did I get right?

Oli.

Under bonnet switch for ... activating the under bonnet light when the headlights are on.
No - 'tis done with a mercury tilt switch in the back of the under-bonnet light. (Never understood why it wasn't wired into the push switch but it wasn't!)
