Can you name my wheels please?

Sorry, perhaps a dumb question but my 944 was fitted with "993 alloys" measuring 16 inch by the previous owner.

Replica or genuine? I'm not sure but I'll remove one tomorrow and have a look for a part number on the reverse. At the valve they are stamped "7 55" (front) and "9 70" (rear).

I'll be replacing them to return to D90s (as standard). What I'd like to know is whether this alloy design has a specific name? (I'll be chucking them on here and Ebay for sale once I get my replacements organised). Any info appreciated, thanks.

On reflection, that's a terrible photo for someone to identify the wheels from.... apologies. Will post a proper one tmrw.

As M030 says Cup Design 93 16" wheels from 1996-98 model year.
The genuine part numbers being:

Front 993 362 114 00 7Jx16 ET55
Rear 993 362 118 01 9Jx16 ET70

The rears have spacers fitted to fill the rear wheelarchs on 944's.
If you going to sell the wheels could I have first refusal on the spacers

Thanks MO30 and Porkie1664. I need to source decent D90s, perhaps refurb and new tyres before getting round to selling the current wheels, tyres (and spacers). I may even try a swop with another 944 owner which could mean the spacers aren't free at all. I will however keep you in mind for the spacers. Cheers.

I had those on one of my 944's - 993 Cup wheels. If I recall the front is a bit narrow compared to back (for a 944), but looked great and didn't really notice the lack of 1/2" [:)]

I hate to say this but I think your 944 looks so much better with the current wheels - the Design 90 looks pretty old now. They seem to 'freshen' the cars look, IMHO !

Thanks to all for their comments. I don't actually disagree with the statement above..... but I think the handling is different with these wheels and I preferred it with the old D90s. I don't dislike the look of the 993 alloys but it just doesn't feel "as good" as before (I bought it with D90s, sold it with D90s and then bought it back two years later with the 993 alloys). Perhaps I'm imagining it though....

I've found replacement wheels and plan to offload the (confirmed) genuine 993 alloys which are in v good condition with good Bridgestone Expedia all round (maybe 6mm). Can anyone indicate what kind of prices these fetch? Between £400 & £500 perhaps? I'm just looking for info please!

Have to agree Hespereus, it was me that fitted them together with the spacers, I can confirm they are genuine Porsche wheels, each to his own though[;)]

I would have thought closer to £200. There isn't too much demand for 16s as they tend to look too small on a 993. Now if they were Cup2 17s then you would get £400 to £500.

Gosh - that seems very cheap? £200 for 4 genuine porsche alloys with N2 rated tyres with excellent tread all round? Since I posted this (a number of weeks ago) I've watched a set with poorer tyres and in worse condition go for £370 on ebay. Thanks for your comment though... it looks like I may be over pricing them but Ebay suggests I could do okay on there. Cheers.
