CANCELLED - R3 additional track day opportunity 2022

Please note this event is cancelled as PCGB do not allow non-Club trackdays to be advertise on Club media.

A number of members have been disappointed by the rapidly sold-out status of this year's PCGB track day at Croft. I have requested that PCGB organise another day at Croft this season but, alas, this is not possible.

There is though, another opportunity to get on track not far distant from R3, two months earlier than the PCGB Croft day.

Blyton Park - a small track in Lincolnshire - has been provisionally booked for us on Thursday 2nd June, via an experienced track day organisation. I have driven this track previously and it brings its own challenges, being shorter, 1.6 miles, and therefore, more twisty. It is the official test track for Ginetta racing cars.

This will be an exclusive PCGB members only day with a maximum of 30 Porsche cars permitted to participate. Only 6 cars will be allowed on track at any given time and so all cars will be in a planned rota. This will give each car plenty of track time during the course of the day.

The cost of the day is £175 per car (non-refundable) and includes additional drivers/passengers if you want to bring others along with you.

As you will be aware track day time this year is at a premium and so in order to secure this opportunity we must act swiftly.

If you are interested in participating then please PM me through the forum and I will send payment details. Full payment is required at the time of booking and your booking cannot be confirmed until payment is received.

Booking, ie receipt of payment, will remain open to members of R3 only, until 5pm Friday 4th March. After that date, if the maximum number of cars has not been reached, the event will be opened to members of other PCGB regions.

A hotel stop-over, in the vicinity of the track for the previous evening, at additional cost, is being explored - details to follow.

Yes I’m in!

Please send payment details and further info as it becomes available. Suggest circuit instruction via Howard Hunt (or similar approved!) is explored?

Kind regards,

Raj

If it's Porsches only, I'm in. Please send me details.

It is but I might see if I can borrow a Clio just to terrorise some of the others :ROFLMAO:

Payment made. Thanks for arranging this, John.

Let's hope we can get a good R3 turnout for this which would be a great intro to track days for anyone - or just an opportunity to check out the capabilities of your car without speed limits.
