Is that the turbo you were trying to sell for a "friend" a little while back?[;)]

How much does the system cost and do you need a remap for the ECU? 50bhp is a big claimed gain for exhaust alone? Look forward to seeing the pictures of it on the car. I guess you don't have Porsche extended warranty then?[:D]

Hi

No that was my friends 997 turbo back then I still got mine.
Yep your right that is a lot hp from the capristo we just have to wait and see.
I will not need a remap anything less than 200cell you will need a map.
Price £3,590 + VAT and + your fitting
No your right agen I'm not gona do porsche warranty this year I think its time to see what the beast can really do. hoping to go nineexcellence very soon aswell and speak to ken on remap and gt2 rs intercoolers after that I should be fine for while

Interestingly just had a chat with my Porsche Centre and they say that they have recently changed two turbos back to standard exhausts as the 200 cell cat after market ones fitted were constantly bringing on the engine management check light - which would be slightly annoying![;)]

Aftermarket exhausts are an interesting topic because it depends very much how you use the car and what you want out of it. Agreed the standard turbo sound is not that good from inside the car (it's not that bad from outside at full chat!) but the trade off for having more noise inside is just that - more noise inside which can be a bit tiresome on long journeys. However, that said, I guess a switchable system like the Capristo, in "cruise" mode, will be very similar to the standard exhaust note.
Anyway, good luck with it and hope your orange engine light stays off!

BTW, DMS do a very nice remap for the turbo.........[:)]

This was the one system that I'd of come out of warranty for, are you getting their own tail pipes fitted? they certainly do look the part! [8D] without being too different.

Yep im getting there tail pipe fitted and to be honest i thought its about time i started really enjoying the car with some mods because i cant wait to do more mods later on. This is just the start [:D]
