Car Alarm/ Electrics recommendation

My new toy has a very old alarm in it which isn't working - does anyone know of a good alarm installer who can install a basic Thatcham 1 alarm without messing up the trim or costing a fortune?Around Glasgow preferred (or someone who can come to me would be superb!)

Greig my guy Keith is very good and is very honest on pricing too...........he's seen everything alarm and stereo wise.

Get him on 07836599633 just say you got the number from me pal.

There is a place in Perth who I have used and are very good.
I suppose if you twisted my arm I could drive the car to Perth for you.

In car connection in Dunblane did a tidy installation in mine ten years ago and it hasn't missed a beat since.

In car connection have been around for a while and are 'roving' so you'd not need to take your car and leave it anywhere - always a trauma for me. I'd like to still recommend Car Radio Services in Perth, but I took an Audi radio in for a well known fault to be repaired it transpired that they don't actually do any repairs in house. Very poor and disappointing after fine service in years gone by.....

That is very disappointing news, as I have been using CRS in Perth for years and they have always been fantastic. The place looks scruffy, but the standard of work was always great. They removed a dodgy alarm from my 924, and the same for my 924S. They also removed an old alarm from my 964 and found a rats nest of wiring where several previous aftermarket systems had been fitted one after the other. They carefully undid it all and made a really tidy job.

Yes, it was a particularly disappointing experience John, especially after the business I had put their way from my 'weekend job' in Perth and the good service I'd had when they sorted out the dodgy alarm remotes on my 928S4.

At the risk of hijacking Greigs thread, I see that you have joined Greig in the Red Car brigade. [;)] How about some pics?

And of course you have had the good taste to join us with an A1 [;)]

I'm not wanting to blag my way into Greig's thread as I see from Club Scuderia that he has his own pictures to post, but yes, I do indeed have my own piece of Maranello's finest. Bought it last month and so far driven it twice. After 79 cars (that makes even me shake my head in disbelief) the Ferrari was a box that had been left so far unticked. Now sorted.

The A1 arrived at the beginning of October after an painfully long 3 month wait. It's the new commuting tool, and following your indirect advice from the A1 forum I've also bought myself a set of 'pepperpots' and am currently awaiting the nice people at Costco to deliver my winter hoops.....

79 a long way to go to catch up with my 130+ mind you with the age difference you could well achive that !!
Come on show us the pictures .

Ok, my computer skills are pretty poor, but this may have worked....
It's in a very unusual colour for a Ferrari that only very few people have heard of...it's called Rosso Corsa.....[:D]
