Car back from Dealers

Have just collected the car from Swindon after dropping it into them this morning for a few bits and pieces. Apart from giving me an absolutely filthy (inside and out) Toyota Avensis I am quite impressed with the service.

1. VTS is working correctly
2. Oil has been topped up to maximum (was showing only 1/2 full on the guage after 1 week)
3. Clicking from rear has been identified as a metal undertray bolt (they hadn't seen that problem before)
4. Steering Column is not moving vertically
5. Buzzing from drivers door was actually the ignition barrel
6. Steering lock warning is all OK

In addition to the above items that I asked them to look at, they took it upon themselves (I am impressed with this bit) to apply felt adhesive to parts of the roof mechanism.

Reading OPC give Audi A4 Avantes ...

you must upset them - the people i know that use Reading get 987S or V6 Cayennes.

I've had 2 KNs from Wilmslow in the last month - they only have 987and KNs as service loan cars.

Best courtesy car I ever got was a knackered old Vauxhall Carlton with electric windows that went down but not up. The car smelt of wet dogs but was pretty damn quick and great fun. It was loaned by my favourite indepenent before they got a fleet of lease cars - Smarts first, then Polos. As it costs nothing, I have no complaints at all.

Opps my mistake ... Possibly as we never take a loan car.. just do the pick up / drop off service ... I just assumed they did A4's as they have a load out front in the car park... my bad ...

I hope I dont upset them having just ordered (on Saturday) our MY2007 987s 3.4 for delivery June 07 (which is our 5th Boxster from them) and adding my name to the Panemera list ... and buying the Cayenne V6 from them this year.. .. so The next Boxster will be our 9th Porsche .. (3 * 944s before that) and the Panemera will be our 10th ...
