Car "Cap" for my Boxster (instead of Car Cover)

Hello,

I'll be leaving my 1997 Boxster Convertible outside, which includes any frosty nights we might get.

I'd like to get a car cap (one that just covers the windows and roof) to protect against overnight frost. It will also be easier to remove in the morning on the way to work than a full cover.

Halfords do one for ~£20 - but its just a plain old bit of cheap nylon and I havent seen how it attaches, but the packaging mentions hooks. Also, there doesnt appear to be any protective lining.

Do people think this sort of cover is OK? Or is there a better one on the market?

Cheers,

Jules

What did you decide to do? Did you look at any better covers? I am also thinking about using this sort of cover when the car is outside and would appreciate views from anyone who has used one.

Hi Paul,

I've bought a car cap from Halfords - it was one reduced from £30 to £20 - its silver in colour and has a soft inner lining. However, I've not actually used it yet..... []

I'll let you know how I get on.

Cheers,

Jules

...oh - just to confirm, this was not the £20 cheap nylon one I mentioned in the original post. This one comes in its own bag with a handle.
