Car covers

Can anyone recommend a make of car cover for my 991.2 turbo. It is stored in and open fronted building so there is egress of weather and wind...but not completely exposed to the elements. Are the porsche OE covers good. I was thinking of putting an indoor cover to protect it,and then an outdoor one on top for protection, but im worried about trapping damp under the covers doing it this way. Any advice gratefully received.

Hi

after undertaking a bit of research I've ordered a custom cover for my 991 GTS from a company called Specialised Covers. They are tailored to the specific model and can be changed on colours, lining and marque etc. A guy at work has one for a 360 Ferarri and says it's very good

I did look at an air chamber but all of a bit of a pain and pretty expensive, the cover was £260 and due shortly

I'd be more concerned with the ingress.....[;)] I have an outdoor cover from Specialised Covers for the odd occasions when it has been kept outside and it is very good. Bit of a faff to get it on without dragging across the paintwork though - really needs two people.

I had to leave my car outside for about a month while some building work was done on my garage and I used the Porsche cover. It is very lightweight but it did a good job. It fits quite tightly which is important to stop scratching and blowing about in windy conditions. The cost is just over £200 and it all fits neatly into the integrated storage bag.

Thanks for your input guys, good to have personal experience to help with my decision. I did see specialised car covers and very much like the fact that they have 3 layers. Thanks Bob.
