I have been offered a Seal 997 C2 Tip by an OPC. I havent seen the car in the flesh yet but I dont think the pics on the Porsch website are of the actual car. The car is also a little bit cheaper than I would perhaps expect.

How can I check if it has had any bodywork repairs or even a new engine or something ?

Cheers
Matt

hi matt, i have only y"day bought a 997s purely based on the picture on the net from opc in sutton coldfield. i test drove a 997s on saturday at tonbridge which obviously the same car as advertised. my thinking (and i have really done my research on this) is that you pay a real premium from an opc but you know that the car will be service checked, have an 111 point check that is also checked by the r.a.c and they cant take a car that has not had the right service intervals and repaired by porsche approved repairers. i was close to buying a private 997s until i discovered after agreeing a price that there was finance owing on that car. you do have a source of recall if you discover a problem if you buy from an opc. you will pay though the nose but at least you know that your not spending 55k for a car thats worth 35! they are oblidged by law to disclose any body work repairs the car has had done by it and they repair any stone chips or blemishes the car has when they take it in. ive bitten the bullet and gotten back into a porsche after 11 yrs and i intend to keep the car...go for it mate and remember that whatever u spend with an opc theres always a shark out there with a pig in a poke that u could end with with 2k less

just noticed it has been removed from the porsche website. its only done 13k miles and has sunroof with black leather in artic and satnav. it hasnt got the mulit function wheel and cruise as i said. the mileage was attractive for me and i intend to keep the car so stuff the depreation. again its another reason i went for a car by a main agent.
